Our Special Place
Where Memories are Made
That Last a Lifetime
Tucked deep in the wilderness along the quiet shores of Swan Lake, in Montana’s rugged Swan Valley, Six Mile Estate is a private refuge built during the golden age of the Copper Kings. For nearly a century, it has quietly endured—untouched, beloved, and passed from generation to generation. Families return year after year to walk its wooded paths, gather beneath the trees, and wake to birdsong drifting over the water. More than a destination, it is a living story—held in hearts, shaped by memory, and shared with care. Whether you come for a wedding, a reunion, a season of rest, or a spark of adventure, Six Mile welcomes you into its rhythm—timeless, generous, and wholly apart.
History
Constructed during the Gilded Age of the Copper Kings—when Swan Lake was dubbed the “Newport of the West”—Six Mile Estate has long been a retreat of quiet elegance and rugged beauty. For more than fifty years, it’s been lovingly stewarded by the same partnership, now in its fifth generation, with families returning each year to reconnect and write new chapters in a shared story.
Location
Nestled into Montana’s wild and lush Swan Valley, Six Mile Estate offers rare tranquility within reach of everywhere you want to be. Just a short drive from Glacier National Park, Whitefish, Bigfork, Flathead Lake, the Jewel Basin, and Eagle Bend Golf Club, it’s perfectly positioned for alpine adventure, lakeside leisure, and world-class food, drink, and culture.
Activities
